EDIT:  So yeah everytime I turn my back on DA for a time, they revamp stuff.  HOW do I change that list of "listening to: reading: watching: etc" up there above my journal entry?  Seems like nothing I do is working right lol.

Augh I swear, I WILL upload SOMEthing at SOME point.  T_T  Sorry, but the tech trouble continue.  Scanner quit on me, then real life just got more involved than I was used to.  Dang, and I have so much I wanna draw; its been too long since I've uploaded art.  I do have my sis here with me now, and she's got a scanner.  If we can ever get her desktop set up that is.  Again, long story.

So uh, what have I been getting interested in...

Well, I still miss those cartoons that made my gallery worth surfing; Danny Phantom, Avatar: TLA, Legion of Super Heroes, Transformers Animated, yada yada.  I still feel poor DP, LoSH, and TFA were cut a short life.  I have been OUT OF MY MIND EXCITED when I found out that Avatar had a sequel series coming out.
I've also gotten into a few other cartoons since.  Finneas and Ferb, a wonderful example that a show doesn't have to have massive plot or dangerous scenarios or emo angst to be entertaining, and also an example that kid-friendly can be cool too.  Generator Rex, who has one of the funniest heroes I've seen in ages, and who's plot is so freakn intense and awesome it does in three epsiodes what most "plot" series need a whole season for.

I haven't just been exploring cartoons either.  I branched back into the sci-fi live action, for example.  I remember seeing Babylon 5 as a teen and loved it, had been given all the DVDs by an AWESOME friend a few years back, and have recently gone back and not only reviewed some of those, but also all the extra stuff that has come out in the years since the series ended (and which were just given to me at Christmas by same awesome friend).  But even more awesome that B5 or even the Star Treks I loved as a kid, I have found the drool-worthy awesome that has been sent in by our kin from the islands across the Atlantic; DOCTOR WHO.  THIS IS HARDCORE.  Well, at least later seasons were.  First season was obviously still exploring the boundaries of the writing staff and its budget, but still did decently, especially later.  By the time you get to season five you're dropping your jaw at the continuity, something which I had previously only thought Babylon 5 capable of doing.  Only Doctor Who does it better and better as the series goes.  And while David Tennant is...rather hot (a lot coming from me who tries hard hard to avoid giving out such titles to tv/movie actors/characters), I first found the series with 11th Doc Matt Smith, and there's a saying in the Doctor Who fanverse: "You never forget your first Doctor!"  That and he has the coolest of the companions (Amy, Rory the "Roman" and River Song), so he's rather my favorite.

I also got into a few video games.  I've been playing Perfect World International for some time now, and I do love it to death.  But I've been getting rather annoyed that you have to LIVE in that world literally in order to even consider getting end game gear (ether that or have a very, very deep pocketbook), so I was quite happy when my sister's main MMO, DC Universe Online, went free to play.  I have so many superheroes and villains running around in that world now; their creation generator is the most fun I've had for any game, and there's just something satisfying about throwing cars, and using superpowers, and FLYING, and hearing Lex Luthor speak so condescendingly about Metro police/Superman/Anyone-in-his-way-really, and laughing at Calculator's rather amusing narration, and of beating the ever-laughing crap out of the Joker and his seriously annoying goons with freakn BATMAN at your side...I can so go on.  This game rocks. It stops rocking as much at end game, but I still have some fun hero/villain names.  Heros, I've got stuff like Hard Drive, Tinderboxie (Tinder Box was taken darn it), Switchboard, Risky, Sewer Pipe, and Fuzzy Dice, to name a few.  Villains, I've got Shadowlamp (yellow lantern), Vixswitch, Raigeeky, Vanish Point, and Dan Phantom (and I KNOW you Danny Phantom fans would get a kick out of that).  In short, GO PLAY THIS GAME if you like MMOs.  While probably not the best out there, its pretty satisfying.
I also started playing Mass Effect, after my bro bog me games I and II.  I have NEVER seen such a choose-your-own-adventure as this game series is, and the choices you make just keep having a bigger and bigger impact as the games go.  I hear that by the time you're into game three, your choices are coming back to either haunt or reward you, big time.  To the point where some plot has changed depending on what you might have chosen to do in the first game.  Best writing ever.

So yeah, thats been my recreation lately.  I'll be getting back on art soon when I can get the scanner hooked up; I've got enough sketches to work with.  Also, I miss my webcomic.  See yall on the other side!

Sounds like you've got some awesome entertainment going on! I'm just starting my brother on Babylon 5, but it's not on Netflix so it's hard to watch without the DVDs. I was seriously considering asking if you'd lend it to me, but it looks like you're having fun with it. I'll have to figure something else out. ^_^ Have you been watching Young Justice? I've been trying to catch up with that one, it's been cool so far. Have you seen all of Series 6 of Doctor Who, or just the first half?
