OK, just a quick journal entry to explain my lack of activity. My grandfather died a week and a half ago, and I've been doing typical things for such an occassion; leaving town for a few days for the funeral, spacing out, and lacking in the art department. Don't worry; I'm actually doing pretty well. The family has been expecting this for awhile, and he was in pain. He's in a much better place, and this way he never gets to spend an anniversary without his wife, as Grandma preceeded him last summer. I will see him again, so I'm OK.
No, the emoional upheaval for me has been several things that I cannot really reveal as they are private issues and would not be appropriate for me to discuss with anyone not related to the issues. Grandpa dying woke up a bunch of emotional issues, and I've been dealing with them in my own way. Until I'm done, I'm kinda tied as far as art goes. I've had two art pieces in the works for several weeks now, and I'm just now forcing myself back on them. I haven't even updated my webcomic, despite having promised my readers that I'd have one strip for last week. I'm not even online that much.

This should only be temporary though, and I'll be back to my old self. I'm a really optimistic person, so I can't be bogged down for long. Things happen for a reason, I can deal with stuff. ^_^

So buck up, anyone with problems! Things are tough, but deep within us we all have the strength. And we're not alone, either.

I'll address the status of the 50,000 pageview voting pic next journal entry. I might start drawing it when I hit about 48,000 pageviews or so, just to let you all know.

Oh, and because I'm in such a thoughtful, pensive mood, this week's pic is my FMA: Icarus Wings pic, because its the most, well, thoughtful and pensive piece in my gallery.
