TFAH: Best Friends

One of these days, I will get control of my brain again and draw what I've been NEEDING to draw...

You guessed it; more of my Transformers Animated Humanformers. I can't help it; the ideas won't go away. And they're just too fun to draw. Except front views on Bee's hair; I don't think I pulled that off right...

Anyways, this was a quickie sketch I did at work. Like with a lot of my recent art, it was supposed to be just that; a sketch. But again, I liked it too much to not color. This probably took only a few hours tops, and would have been done sooner had not Mary Poppins been playing in my living room (classic movies are distracting).
Basically, it's me slapping the Three Amigos together. These three are so cute; they're the best of buds in the series. I can't wait for episode "Autoboot Camp", when we find out how Bumblebee and Bulkhead first met at boot camp. Sari took to these two fast, and hangs out with them the most of all the Autobots (with Bee being the more frequent of the two, as he's often the main friend of the human character in these things). Bee is a perfect friend for her; they have so much in common, it makes you wonder if she's older than she looks or if he just acts younger than he should, lol. Bulkhead adds some stability to the two troublemakers, even if he's prone to some trouble himself (all accidental, and usually involving collateral damage). Sari's so good at getting Bee in trouble, but can you blame her? If you were eight, and your best friend was a giant alien robot, wouldn't you want to see what he was capable of? She treats Bulkhead more like a slightly older brother, happy to hang out with him and looking up to him (in more ways that one). And Bee and Bulk as friends crack me up; the smallest and the largest of the Autobots make for quite the contrast. They also talk and relate better than any of the other Autobots (probably due to their being the youngest in the group). Throw Sari and her small size in there, and you end up with Sari climbing all over Bee, who in turn climbs all over Bulkhead. They come in large, medium, and small!

Anyways, just some cute nonsense. That's pretty much what the background was; I slapped some blue and peach shades together and had fun with different texture brushes, with a little Burn and Dodge thrown in for fun. Kinda looks like a kid's crayon drawing, which fits the buddy theme.
