CMSH: Andrea and H. Prowl

My first commission outside my real life friend circle! This is for , who wanted art of her character Andrea either kissing Humanformer Prowl on the cheek, or cat pouncing him. I, like my usual clueless self, misread her instructions and instead drew what I thought would be Andrea's cat pouncing on Prowl with Andrea nearby, proably about to peck Prowl on the cheek. Fortunatly, the misunderstanding was caught when I asked what kind of cat it was, and when I sent a rough sketch she loved it, so I guess it all works out. ^_^;

Also, since this was a little late, I did a full color background and made it wallpaper format, just to show that I like to make up my mistakes.

The background is a kind of mesh of several I've done before, since I know Prowl's a nature loving guy and I've done scenes he'd like. This is kind of a picnic setting, and I had fun with the blanket. I left out the basket; it was supposed to be in there, but after several failed attempts at what looked more like mutated pottery, I gave up and just went with the blanket.

I've never really done sitting positions satisfactorly before, so this time I cracked out one of my how-to-draw-manga books and scanned for sitting positions. I didn't find any I liked, but I found several with aspects I liked, so I kind of melded them together. And did my best trying to make Prowl look like a guy, as all the sitting poses were of women models. -_- I'm REALLY happy with how Andrea came out though. She was supposed to be wearing Prowl's jacket (which is why he doesn't have it on; after all, she has already jacked his sunglasses during the course of the outing), but I liked how I drew her too much to obscure her with the thing. So Prowl just left his jacket home as it is a nice warm late-summer day.
